The Acne Academy is a personalized treatment program to clear your acne, tailored just for you! Our acne specialists have countless hours of hands-on experience treating acne in Thornton and are certified to bring their expertise to you.

Your program starts with a consultation that takes a variety of things into consideration like your skin type, acne type, age, ethnicity, and lifestyle factors to custom build your treatment plan.

During your consultation we will discuss our recommendations for your individual needs, but in general the treatment we recommend depends on the type of acne you have. This will determine the length of time we typically see our clients in the Academy until they start to see clearing of their acne.

There are several different types of acne. Some are more straightforward to treat, but some are more stubborn and take longer to start to clear up. For this reason, our acne specialists will do a thorough consultation and skin analysis in order to make the appropriate recommendation for your treatment plan.

If you decide to move ahead with the Acne Academy program, we will also do a patch test to evaluate your skin’s sensitivity so we can get you started on the appropriate strength homecare products.

You play an integral part in the success of the Acne Academy. While we perform stronger treatments and extractions in the clinic, you will do a twice daily cleansing routine at home. This will account for up 70% of the results you see from your program, so it’s important that you stay consistent and committed.

The Acne Academy includes

1:1 consultation with your personal certified acne specialist.
A 12, 18, or 24-week program with twice monthly appointments to provide a treatment, track progress, and adjust your homecare protocol. The length of your program will be determined based on the type of acne you have and discussed during your consultation.
Step by step guide to your homecare cleansing routine and adjustments as needed.
Continued support once your skin is clear. Most people will need to continue to use their homecare products to maintain their clear skin.
At the conclusion of your program we will provide recommendations for additional treatments/concerns such as scarring, dark spots, etc. if desired.
